From one bad label to six traceable products

A frustrating label
Hemveda started with two friends standing in a supplement aisle, unable to find out where an "organic ashwagandha" actually came from. We decided to build the thing we couldn't find: a herbal brand that shows its work.

First harvest, first batch
We flew to Madhya Pradesh to meet the ashwagandha growers directly, and paired it with a small-batch chamomile & lavender blend sourced from Egypt and Bulgaria. Both were lab-tested before a single jar shipped.
- Mid 2025
Immunity and digestion join the lineup
An Oregon elderberry tincture and a peppermint-ginger digestive capsule rounded out the range, built around the two questions customers asked us most: "what helps me sleep" and "what helps my stomach."

Skin and detox, and a promise on testing
Rosehip facial oil from Chile and a roasted dandelion root tea from Poland brought us to six products across six countries of origin — and we committed to publishing a certificate of analysis for every batch that supports one.

Today Hemveda is a small, deliberately unhurried team: direct grower relationships on four continents, third-party batch testing, and a journal where we try to write about herbs the way we wished someone had written to us — honestly, with the caveats included.

Every product page links to its origin and, where applicable, a certificate of analysis. We favor smaller, traceable farms over large commodity suppliers, even when it costs more — it's the only way we can stand behind what's in the jar. As the catalog grows, the rule stays the same.
